Cheraw CC CCC offers an 18 hole, Par 72 course designed by Donald Ross in 1924, which is open year round to the public. Located in the Sand hills of SC just an hour south of Pinehurst and the world famous Donald ross design, Pinehurst #2 course, Cheraw Country Club provides golfers an opportunity to enjoy a leisurely round of golf nearly every day of the year, thanks to the wonderful mild southern climate. Cheraw State Park CourseThis 18-hole championship course winds its way through the long-leaf pinelands of Cheraw State Park, its layout so broad that no two fairways are adjacent. Lake Juniper serves as a backdrop on several holes, making a golf trip to Cheraw State Park a visual treat. The course has a national certification from the Aubudon Society. | Sandy Point Golf Club This J.B Ammons design features rolling fairways and bent grass greens making this course fun for both beginners and advanced players. This hilly layout has narrow fairways making shot accuracy essential. The signature hole is #9, a 523-yard, par 5, considered by locals to be the biggest challenge on the course. Golf Digest's "Places to Play" guide says, "The Wellman Club is one of best kept secrets in South Carolina". The course is a hidden gem on the grounds of the Persimmon Fields community. Designed by Ellis Maples and Ed Seay, this 7,018-yard track features lush Bermuda fairways and well-trapped fast greens, with water on 9 holes.
